The central theme of the sermon was about defeating negative thoughts by changing our mental filters. We were shown that our perspective can either empower us or hold us back. By examining the story of the Israelites, we learned that the facts remain the same, but our interpretation can lead to vastly different outcomes. We were urged to adopt a faith-filled perspective like Caleb and Joshua, who saw the same challenges as the other spies but chose to focus on God's promise and power instead of the obstacles.

In what ways have you allowed your perspective to shape your reality, for better or worse?
Who in your life can be your 'Joshua,' and how can you support each other in faith?
What practical steps can you take to filter your facts through faith rather than fear?
In 'Winning the War in Your Mind pt 3,' we were reminded that our minds are battlefields where most of our struggles are won or lost. We often tend to focus on the negative, setting ourselves up for failure with pessimistic thought patterns. The big question posed to us was about how we filter our facts. Pastor used the story of the Israelites exploring the Promised Land in Numbers 13 and 14 to illustrate how different perspectives can lead to either faith or fear. We were encouraged to change our negative filters to see God's promises and to be like Caleb and Joshua, who trusted in God's provision despite the challenges.
