Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Pastor Anthony

Main Idea

The main idea is that through Jesus, we have been saved from the domain of darkness and transferred to the kingdom of light. This is possible because of the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ.

Scripture References

Colossians 1:13-14, Ephesians 6:12, John 17:15-18, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:4-6

Why do you think even believers can sometimes shrink from the light?

Once we have Jesus as our protector, the enemy's tactics are reduced to reminding us of who we once were and who we are not.

How do you view physical death as a Christian believer?

Discussion Questions:

In what ways can we participate in Jesus' mission to reach others in the world?

How can understanding our salvation as a free gift change our perspective on serving and obeying God?

How can we live in the reality of Jesus' victory over sin and death in our daily lives?

The enemy may try to remind us of our past sins and mistakes, but we must remember that Jesus has paid the price for them and we are forgiven.

Summary

Pastor Anthony shared with us about the importance of knowing that we are signed, sealed, and delivered through Jesus. He used the metaphor of being traded from one team to another to show how we have been transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.

Call to Action

Some next steps to take this week:

Let's remember that we have God's protection and purpose in our lives. We are called to share the gospel and make disciples, so let's actively participate in this mission.

We must live in the reality of Jesus' victory over sin and death. Let's trust in Him to overcome our everyday struggles and challenges.
