Rooted and Built Up

Main Idea

God wants us to be rooted and built up in our faith as we wait for revival or any other blessings He has for us. This requires intentionality and sacrifice on our part, but it will ultimately lead to a stronger and more vibrant faith.

Scripture References

Colossians 2:1-7, Genesis 2:18, 1 Kings 5:5-6, Psalm 92:12-13, 1 Peter 2:1-5

Is it possible to have a deeply rooted and growing faith without being connected to other Christians in love?

Life is better with others. We are not meant to do life alone, and that includes our faith journey.

Why do we tend to isolate ourselves in our spiritual walk, even though we know it's better to do life together?

Discussion Questions:

Can you identify any worldly influences that can isolate us from other Christians?

What is the biggest obstacle for you in getting into community? What can you sacrifice to make it a priority in your life?

How can we ensure that our Christian walk has a natural and appealing fragrance, rather than just putting on a show?

As we are built up in our faith, the body of Christ is also built up and the kingdom of God expands.

Summary

Pastor Bryan of Reverb Church shares a message from Colossians chapter 2 called 'Rooted and Built Up' as part of their series 'Greater'. He encourages us to grow in our faith together as a church community, knowing that God has a great awakening in store for us.

Call to Action

Some next steps to take this week:

Let's make it a priority to grow together as a church community. Join a growth track, attend men's and women's groups, join a regroup, join a prayer group, or get involved in a serve team.

Let's dedicate more time to serving and growing in God. Even if we spent just one hour a day in the Word, we still have plenty of time to sow into others.
