The central message taught us that our bodies are not merely personal possessions, but gifts from God meant to be stewarded. Pastor Gabe challenged us to shift our thinking from a focus on longevity towards the usefulness of our bodies in fulfilling God's calling. We revisited the biblical perspective that our health should be viewed in terms of service — not just for our comfort but for the good of others. Gabe stressed that true freedom lies in mastering our physical desires, enabling us to readily respond to God's call. By embodying this perspective, we realized our bodies can greatly contribute to our spiritual readiness for all that God asks of us.

Do we pay too much attention to what we look like?
Do you view sickness or other health challenges as God's punishment? How should we view them?
Is 'mastery' of your body a spiritual battle?
In the final week of our series called 'Unstuck', Pastor Gabe guided us in recognizing our complex relationship with our bodies. He emphasized that many of us struggle with body image issues, either feeling shame or obsession towards our physical selves. Instead of viewing our bodies as something we must combat or idolize, we learned to treat them as gifts from God. The message highlighted the need for self-mastery and the importance of stewarding our bodies rather than becoming slaves to physical desires. We examined scripture that teaches us the significance of our bodies as vessels of the Holy Spirit and the impactful role they play in our service to God and others.
Let's commit to viewing our bodies as tools for God’s purpose instead of idols.
We should strive to improve our health not just for ourselves but for the sake of serving others.
