The main idea of the message is that Jesus Christ is the supreme and ultimate authority, power, and status in all things.
Colossians 1:15-23, Hebrews 1:3, John 1:18, Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-5
In what ways is the cross a picture of perfect love? How does recognizing Jesus as the Supreme Being and Creator add to our understanding of Him?
What image do you present to the world? How can you improve this image? Do you want the world to know you "completely"?
How does the fact that Jesus is the planner, producer, and creator of the world, the one who holds it all together, help us gain perspective on challenges we face?
Today, Pastor Bryan from Reverb Church continued our sermon series called "Greater" by exploring the theme of the supremacy of Christ in the letter to the church in Colossae. He reminded us that Paul wrote this letter to warn and teach Christians about false doctrines and narratives surrounding Jesus. The main points of the message were that there is no greater image, creator, being, and savior than Jesus Christ.
Let us remember that Jesus is the image of the invisible God and reveals Him to us. Let us strive to see and know God through Jesus.
May we recognize and acknowledge Jesus as the planner, producer, and creator of the world, the one who holds it all together. Let us trust in His sovereignty and power in the midst of challenges.
