The main idea conveyed by Pastor Jacob was that our legacy is a living testament to our values and influence on future generations. He emphasized that our identities as eternal beings come with a responsibility to enact positive change during our time on earth. As we gathered together, we were reminded that the essence of our contributions shapes the community landscape and facilitates growth across various campuses. With the backdrop of the matching $3 million challenge, we were prompted to reflect on what God was calling us to give or pledge, inviting us to play an active role in advancing the church's mission. This call to action was integral in continuing the movement established by both past and present members of Our Savior's Church.
In what ways can we ensure that our legacy reflects our values?
What initiatives within the church inspire you to give?
As a group, how can we support each other in fulfilling our legacy pledges?
On Legacy Sunday, Pastor Jacob Aranza discussed the concept of legacy and how it represents a future influenced by our actions. He highlighted the significance of our generosity in creating an eternal impact. Throughout the sermon, we reviewed several campuses that expanded and thrived due to our collective efforts and financial support. Each initiative, from the purchase of prime land for new locations to the refurbishing of existing campuses, underscored the importance of community involvement. The calls to action centered on evaluating our commitment to giving, especially in light of the Legacy Founders' matching pledge. We were encouraged to consider our personal contributions towards meeting the matching goal as a church family.
