Pastor David

March 24, 2024

Main Idea

Our proper response to Jesus' sacrifice is full-hearted devotion and worship, fueled by a heart of gratitude. We are saved by grace and grace alone, not by our own works or efforts.

Scripture References

Hebrews 12:1-2, Isaiah 53:10-11, Ephesians 2:4-8, Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11, Luke 19:38-40, John 12:12-19, Luke 19:39-40

Why is it difficult for us to receive gifts, especially the gift of grace?

We cannot repay Jesus for what He has done, but we can respond with worship and devotion.

In what ways do we try to earn or deserve God's grace?

Discussion Questions:

How does our understanding of grace impact our worship?

What enemies did Jesus come to defeat, according to Pastor David?

How can we continue to live in gratitude and worship beyond the Easter season?

Worship is more than singing a song, it is giving weight, worth, and adoration to God.

Summary

Pastor David encourages us to take a heart of gratitude as we enter Easter week and reflect on what Jesus has done for us. He reminds us that Jesus came not just to reveal Himself as God, but to make a way for us to be brought back into relationship with a Holy God.

Call to Action

Some next steps to take this week:

Reflect on what Jesus has done for you and allow that understanding to result in heartfelt worship to Him.

Consider sowing a donation for the Turkey Project, designated for missions, and extending gratitude to others for their contributions.
