The main idea of Pastor's message was to establish a strong foundation in our Christian faith by revisiting the fundamental truths of Grace, Faith, and Jesus. Pastor highlighted that Grace is a gift from God, not earned by works, and that Faith is our response to that gift, placing our trust in Jesus Christ. By understanding these concepts, we ensure that our faith is built on a solid foundation, capable of withstanding any challenges that may come.
Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Romans 3:22-23, 2 Corinthians 5:21
What does it mean to you that faith is our response to God's grace?
How can we practically trust in Jesus' sacrifice daily, rather than relying on our own works?
What steps can we take to build a stronger foundation in our understanding of Jesus as God's Son?
In the first week of 'Foundations of Our Faith,' Pastor reminded us of the importance of understanding core Christian truths such as Grace, Faith, and Salvation through Jesus. Emphasizing the need for a solid foundation, Pastor likened our faith to a building that must stand on firm ground to endure. Over the next seven days, we were introduced to Biblical truths through daily readings and correlating sermons, ensuring we start our journey with a robust understanding of our faith.
Take time today to thank God for the free gift of Grace in your life.
Reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus and thank Him for paying the price for our salvation.
