The main idea of Pastor Bryan's message was that encountering God can transform our lives. He explained that these encounters can be unexpected or sought after, but they are always significant and purposeful. Moses' encounter with God at the burning bush was a pivotal moment that changed the direction of his life. Pastor Bryan encouraged us to prepare for our own encounters with God by valuing prayer and fasting, reminding us that God is holy and that we should approach Him with reverence and a readiness to surrender to His will.

What does the image of the burning bush that is not consumed teach us about God's nature?
What does Moses' unexpected encounter with God reveal about God's love for us?
What does the Bible say about the results of actively seeking to encounter God?
In the first week of the 'Encounter' series, Pastor Bryan took us through the story of Moses' profound encounter with God at Horeb. We learned that encounters with God can happen unexpectedly or through intentional seeking. Moses, while tending to his father-in-law's flock, came across a burning bush that was not consumed by the fire, where God spoke to him. This encounter was not by chance but was purposeful, leading Moses to a life-changing direction. Pastor Bryan emphasized that we, like Moses, may need an encounter with God more than we realize, especially during our wilderness seasons when God has our full attention.
Let's start this year by preparing our hearts to encounter God in various ways, through prayer and fasting.
If you find yourself in a wilderness season, see it as an opportunity to encounter God and align your will with His.
