Pastor Rob's main idea was centered on our transformation and new identity in Christ. He explained to us that although we were once sinners, separated from God, and destined for eternal separation, we now have a new but in our lives. This 'but' signifies our shift from darkness to light, from not being a people to becoming the people of God, and from not receiving mercy to being recipients of God's mercy. He encouraged us to embrace our roles as priests in God's kingdom, to live out our calling with purpose, and to always remember that we have a reason to praise because of the mercy and grace we've received.

3. How can we effectively pray for others and teach through our actions and words?
4. Discuss the importance of pronouncing something as clean and maintaining the temple in the context of our relationships with others.
5. What does it mean to you to be called out of darkness into God's wonderful light, and how has this changed your life?
In Pastor Rob's sermon titled 'I've Got a Reason to Praise,' he shared a heartwarming story about his mom and the virtue of patience, especially around Christmas time. He reminded us that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation, as stated in 1 Peter 2:9-10. Pastor Rob emphasized that despite our past of sin and separation from God, we have been given a new identity and purpose in Him. He explained the roles of a priest, including praying for others, teaching, pronouncing cleanliness, and maintaining the temple of believers. He also highlighted that we are not just part of God's kingdom but His special possession, called out of darkness into His wonderful light, giving us every reason to praise Him.
Reflect on your new identity in Christ and take time to declare His praises for calling you out of darkness into His wonderful light.
Embrace your role as a royal priest by praying for others, teaching through actions and words, and building up fellow believers.
