Main Idea

When we say yes to Jesus, everything changes. We must be willing to let go of what is in our hands in order to receive what is in God's, and we must lean in to what God has for us in order for God's plan to be our experience.

Scripture References

Mark 1:19-20, Matthew 5:13, Ephesians 4:32, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 6:15

What do you need to let go of in order to follow Jesus?

Until you let go of what is in your hands, I can never give you what is in mine.

What is preventing you from leaning in to what God has for you?

Discussion Questions:

What is your 'all in' moment?

What does it mean to you to be 'saved enough to go to heaven, but not saved enough to stop going to the club'?

What does it mean to you to be 'the salt of the earth'?

Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.

Summary

At Our Saviors, Pastor Dee preached a sermon titled 'YoYo' about the challenge of change. He shared that when we say yes to Jesus, everything changes, and we must be willing to let go of what is in our hands in order to receive what is in God's. He also explained that God's plan requires our participation and that we must lean in to what God has for us. He concluded with a Salvation Prayer.
