Pastor David Rials gave a warm and conversational sermon titled 'Reset With Rest Wk2' at Life United. He thanked those who have written 21 devotionals and encouraged everyone to grab one from the Info Center if they haven't already. He also mentioned additional resources available on the church center app. Pastor David also acknowledged the hard work put into the new Mardi Gras float, and encouraged everyone to sign up and serve the community. He shared Isaiah 58.3 and reminded us that God cares more about our motives than our actions.
Let's stop striving to please ourselves and instead focus on serving and making a difference in the world around us.
We should practice the discipline of rest by having selah moments, pausing and listening to God. It's important to actively listen and not just hope for God to fit into our busy schedules.
